Membership Categories and Fees

Membership in the Japanese Society of Horticultural Science is open to anyone from any countries and area who is interested in horticultural science.

The membership year is January 1 through December 31 for members. No admission fee is charged. Annual membership fee renewal invoices are mailed each year for members. Individual members who have not renewed their membership receive the first issue of the new membership year, but do not receive later issues.
 

Domestic members
This membership is open to individuals who live in Japan. The members receive The Horticulture Journal and/or Horticultural Research (Japan), and possess the right to submit manuscripts for publication in the journals they subscribe.

 The Horticulture journal is quarterly published English-language journal.
 Horticultural Research (Japan) is quarterly published Japanese-language journal.

Non-domestic members
This membership is open to individuals who live in any countries and area except Japan. The members receive The Horticulture Journal and/or Horticultural Research (Japan), and possess the right to submit manuscripts for publication in the journals they subscribe.

 The Horticulture journal is quarterly published English-language journal.
 Horticultural Research (Japan) is quarterly published Japanese-language journal.

Student members
This membership is similar to Domestic members or Non-domestic members, but open to students only. The members possess the same rights as Domestic members or Non-domestic members.

Institutional Subscription members
This membership is open to organizations who wish to subscribe to The Horticulture Journal and/or Horticultural Research (Japan).

Supporting members
This membership is open to all companies and organizations that desire recognition as active supporters of the Society. All the members receive the following benefits:

Management of personal information

The Japanese Society for Horticultural Science (JSHS) manages personal information with responsibility and uses personal information within an appropriate range for management of the society, and list-of-names distribution to the members. For the convenience on research among members and the smooth management of the society, personal information may be opened to the board members or the committees of JSHS. JSHS may entrust personal information to affiliate companies, when JSHS commissions a part of JSHS management to these companies.
