International Competition My 3-Minute Horticultural Thesis（3MHT）は、博士課程の大学院生が3分間で1枚のスライドを用いて、自らの研究について発表するイベントとして知られています。国際的に認識度が高く、プレゼンテーションスキルを向上させ、ネットワーキングを広げるよい機会とされています。
International Competition My 3-Minute Horticultural Thesis (3MHT) is a well-known event where doctoral students are given three minutes to present their research using one slide. It is internationally recognized and is a great opportunity to improve presentation skills and expand networking.
エントリー資格は、2024年9月1日から2026年8月23日までに博士申請論文公聴会（審査会等にあたる）を実施した博士号取得（見込みを含む）者（年齢制限はありません）で、IHC2026に現地参加できる者となっています。各国（日本においては園芸学会）が、男女各1名の候補者を2026年2月末日までに選考し、国内選考通過者として推薦します。園芸学会では、国内選考通過者の研究内容等を学会HPで紹介する予定です。
Eligible applicants are those who have received a doctorate (including prospective doctorates) and have had a doctoral dissertation defense (equivalent to a review board) between September 1, 2024 and August 23, 2026, and who are able to participate in IHC2026 on-site. Each country (in Japan, the Japanese Society for Horticultural Science, JSHS) will select one male and one female candidates by the end of February 2026 and recommend them as candidates who have passed the domestic selection process. The JSHS plans to introduce the research content of those who have passed the domestic selection process on its website.
国内選考通過者として推薦された候補者の方々は、第2次審査により最終候補者となった際、IHC2026の8月23日の最終審査会にて研究発表を行っていただきます。最終候補者の参加登録費はIHC2026実行委員会より全額補助されます。各国の候補者から最終的に選ばれた候補者6名の中から、最も優秀な発表者にYoung Minds Awardと賞金†がIHCより授与されます（詳しくはIHC2026のウェブサイトをご覧ください）。
Candidates recommended as domestic candidates who pass the second round of selection will be selected as finalists and will be asked to present their research at the final selection meeting on August 23rd at IHC2026. The IHC2026 Executive Committee will cover the full registration fee for finalists. The IHC will award the Young Minds Award and prize money† to the best presenter from the six final candidates selected from each country (see the IHC2026 website for details).
